The City is divided into 2 Zones viz., Zone 1 and Zone 2 . Each Zone is headed by Dy. Commissioner of Police. Each Zone is further divided into Divisions and each Division is headed by Asst. Commissioner of Police. Each Division comprises of certain Law & Order Police Stations, each headed by an Inspector of Police as Station House Officer. There are 4 Divisions and 17 Law & Order Police Stations. These stations have crime detachments and Detective Inspectors overseeing property offenses. The City Police ensures Law and Order commitments throughout the year, focusing on Festivals, Important Events, VIP Visits, Dharnas, and Agitations. Police aims to provide a safe, secure, and peaceful environment while maintaining communal harmony, law and order, and preventing crime, including White-Collar Crimes and Cyber Crime.
